On May 22 and 23, 2025, the Energiewerkstatt team went on an inspiring company outing to beautiful Styria. The program included a visit to the Silbersberg wind farm in Trofaiach, which was presented by Paul Zelinka from Windheimat. Energiewerkstatt was involved in this project with wind measurements and expert reports.
The team then gained exciting insights into an innovative agri-photovoltaic project by Windheimat. The aim of this project is the simultaneous use of 30 hectares of agricultural land for sheep farming and the generation of renewable energy. Flocks of sheep take care of the areas under the PV modules.
The team rounded off the first day in a relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. The following day, an impressive guided tour of the Lurgrotte cave in Peggau was on the agenda – Austria’s largest show cave with water flowing through it and a two-kilometre tour route.
The excursion not only offered exciting insights into current energy transition projects, but also strengthened team spirit and the exchange of ideas.
