Know what’s going on – the LIDAR always in view

Our LIDAR system is now equipped with an integrated camera that always has the LIDAR windshield in focus. This makes it easy to detect soiling on the screen and, if necessary, start a windscreen wash via remote control. The integrated camera also keeps an eye on the proper functioning of the windscreen wipers and cleaning fluid. It is also possible to determine whether an interruption in data transmission is due to a clear sky situation.

Thanks to the integrated camera, maintenance trips are reduced, as on-site maintenance is only required in the event of serious contamination (e.g. large amounts of snow, heavy icing) or a defect. The PowerPackTrailer, or PPT for short, from Energiewerkstatt ensures an uninterrupted power supply for the camera and any cleaning processes, but above all for wind measurement – even at remote locations and in challenging conditions.
