The first working period of the IEA research cooperation Task 54 “Cold Climate Wind Power” was successfully completed with the Energiewerkstatt being responsible for the sub-task “Performance Envelopes of Rotor Blade Heating Systems” . The aim was to record the performance of such systems under different operating conditions and to develop criteria for better evaluation and comparability. The results help to reduce risks in the planning and operation of wind turbines in cold climate zones.
The sub-task results report is available on the Energiewerkstatt homepage, the official results report for the entire task work period was published on nachhaltigwirtschaften.at and documents the results of the entire first phase.
