Enthusiasm reigned among all participants when the employees of Ökoenergie took delivery of the PowerPackTrailer for self-sufficient LiDAR measurements at the company headquarters of Energiewerkstatt in Friedburg. The powerful energy supply from solar panels and a small wind turbine, combined with a fuel cell and a high-capacity battery storage system, enable measurement operation even under the harshest conditions in the alpine winter. Thanks to our partner GWU-Umwelttechnik GmbH, the introduction to the functionality of the trailer could be directly combined with a training on the installed LiDAR device and the presentation of a nacelle-based LiDAR for power curve measurement, both from the manufacturer Vaisala France SAS.
