Wind measuring mast erected at an exposed height

In October 2025, an 80-metre-high measuring mast was erected in Hochgurgl in Tyrol on behalf of the Auer Group. Energiewerkstatt, together with its partner company  windhunter service Planning and erection, with the exposed altitude of over 2,500 meters posing a particular logistical and technical challenge. The mast will measure the local wind conditions for at least the next 12 months. Energiewerkstatt will accompany the wind measurements and analyze the data obtained. This should show whether the site is fundamentally suitable for the use of wind energy.
