The association Energiewerkstatt is cooperating on a long-term basis with the Open House of Culture (OKH) Vöcklabruck. “The partnership between the OKH Vöcklabruck and Energiewerkstatt is a clear commitment to sustainable action and climate-conscious thinking. Together, we are committed to a culture of respectful use of resources and thus strengthen our responsibility for the future of our region,” says Dipl-Ing. Andreas Krenn, Managing Director of Energiewerkstatt. The OKH Vöcklabruck is a local cultural provider and at the same time a space of opportunity for future models in the region: cultural exchange and the diversity of contemporary art form an “urban bay” with an anchor function on the Vöckla. In the past, Energiewerkstatt has already supported the OKH with the purchase of e-charging stations in the OKH parking lot. This partnership will now be extended for three years and will help to drive forward planned sustainability projects at the Offenes Kulturhaus. “We reach around 20,000 guests every year, so we are trying to set a good example by organizing our in-house program as green events since 2013. We are currently implementing a PV system as part of an EU project, which will enable us to generate our own electricity for our events in future. We are particularly pleased about the partnership with Energiewerkstatt because we are pulling in the same direction when it comes to climate and energy,” affirm Jolanda de Wit and Richard Schachinger, spokesperson team of the OKH association.
