Energiewerkstatt has been supporting the “Windenergie Sandl” project in the north-eastern Mühlviertel region from the very beginning. There are plans for 19 wind turbines at one of the windiest locations in Upper Austria – the potential is comparable to wind turbines in the Weinviertel or Burgenland: a feed-in capacity of 108 MW and an annual yield that covers the needs of almost 95,000 households is expected.
Following a successful feasibility study, design planning, wind measurement and, most recently, approval planning, the complete documentation for the environmental impact assessment (EIA) was submitted in mid-September. This represents another important step in the project – also with regard to the energy transition. Energiewerkstatt would like to thank Windenergie Sandl and looks forward to working with them again in the future.
