Energy self-sufficiency for LiDAR measurements with the PowerPackTrailer

The central component for a successful LiDAR measurement campaign is the permanent assurance of a robust power supply. The PowerPackTrailer designed by Energiewerkstatt offers powerful energy self-sufficiency through solar panels, small wind turbine and fuel cell in combination with a high-capacity battery storage. Measurement operation can thus be maintained even under the harshest conditions in the alpine winter. In addition to the introduction to the functionality of the trailer during the handover to our customers from Windkraft Simonsfeld, a training session on the installed LiDAR device WindCube v2.1 from the manufacturer Vaisala, previously Leosphere, took place directly in cooperation with our partner GWU-Umwelttechnik GmbH, so that no questions remained unanswered.
