Wind measurement for wind energy projects at alpine sites poses special challenges, especially in winter. The installation as well as the measurement at these locations are complex projects that require appropriate knowledge and technologies that can withstand the adverse conditions. If, inaddition, the construction takes place in winter conditions, experts in this field are needed to ensure success. Energiewerkstatt, together with Windhunter Service, was able to demonstrate this status again most recently during the installation of an 80 m lattice tower measurement. With a heated 3D ultrasonic anemometer and a self-sufficient power supply specially developed by Energiewerkstatt, continuous availability of measurement data is guaranteed.
