The “Winterwind” conference has been a fixed date on the topic of wind energy in cold climates for many years. Due to the Corona-related restrictions, this year’s “Winterwind 2021” was held in a purely online format. Alexander Stökl from Energiewerkstatt e.V. gave a presentation on Austrian research activities on icefall of wind turbines, which were carried out in the framework of the IEA-Wind Task-19 cooperation.
