This year, Energiewerkstatt again participated in the International Winterwind Conference in Sweden, the wind industry’s annual event on challenges and innovations in the development and operation of wind turbines in cold climates. On the one hand, a workshop was organized under the leadership of the Energiewerkstatt within the IEA Wind TCP Task 54 “Cold Climate Wind Power” on the topic of “Performance Envelopes of Blade Heating Systems” in order to collect feedback from the community on developments and requirements in this area. On the other hand, the Energiewerkstatt reported in a conference presentation on the results of the research project “NICE” on nanostructuring of surfaces using ultrashort pulse lasers, which was carried out jointly with the Vienna University of Technology.
